Creativefuel OS
Today, tasks, creators, shoots and the estate, in a native Mac app that opens in under a second and shows you only the work that is yours.
Requires macOS 13 Ventura or later. Apple Silicon and Intel, both. About 30 MB.
Updates
Creativefuel OS checks for a new version on its own and installs it when you next quit the app. No reinstalling, no chasing a link in WhatsApp, no version of this app that is quietly six weeks behind. You will see a small card when an update is ready, and you decide whether to restart now or later.
Three steps, once. After this the app takes care of itself.
The file lands in Downloads. Double click it and a window opens with the app on the left and an Applications shortcut on the right.
Then eject the disk image. This matters: an app run from the mounted DMG cannot update itself, so it would be stuck on this version for good.
Use your Creativefuel email. What you see is decided by your role, on the server, so your sidebar will not look like everyone else's.
Creativefuel OS is signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarised by Apple, and the ticket is stapled into the download itself. It opens like any other app: double click, no warning, nothing to click through, and it works on a Mac that has never seen it before, even offline.
It is worth knowing why we bother. Up to macOS 14, an app that was not notarised could still be opened by control-clicking it and choosing Open. Since macOS 15 that no longer works. If a build ever went out unnotarised, the only way anybody could open it would be:
That is a five step detour, per person, per machine, every time the app is replaced. Asking a few hundred people to do it is not a distribution plan. Notarising every build is what turns all of the above into something you never read about again.
